Summer Fun
For Mini Artists
Get out your beach towels and head for
the surf. Toddlers will be engaged in fun and exciting summer-themed art
explorations using
drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and collage. Along the way, little artists will discover how to express
themselves through colors, lines, shapes, and design. These classes will build
self confidence, encourage independent thinking, develop problem solving skills,
and provide an opportunity for creative expression.
The studio space is organized in centers, allowing the children to choose from
various activities each week
and to work at their own pace with their parents or caregivers. Children will
enjoy interacting with one another, as they play with art
related developmental toys in addition to the art projects. Classes will wind
down with a story that correlates with the theme or art concept for the day.
One adult must stay and participate with the child.
It’s a great way to enjoy the
summer in the cool relaxing atmosphere of the studio.

Summer Fun For Little Artists The summer brings all kinds of excitement that will be explored through drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture. Little artists will create imaginative summer themed artwork, including crazy bugs, family BBQ's, beach parties, and dripping ice cream cones. Grab your beach bag and head to the studio!

AGES 4 1/2 to 9 WEEK 7 WHEELS AND WINGS
There are many ways to get from here to there. What do cars, trucks, trains, buses, bicycles and skate-boards have in common? Wheels, of course! What do airplanes, space shuttles, birds, and dragonflies have in common? Wings, of course! Artists will build unique forms of transportation, perhaps a bicycopter or a rocketboard, using cardboard, boxes, paper towel tubes, and many other sculpture materials. They will add exciting designs using drawing, painting, and collage techniques.

AGES 4 1/2 to 9 WEEK 8 PEOPLE AND PLACES
Pack your bags and prepare to travel to
global villages to learn about art from different cultures. Artists
will be inspired by traditional art from many continents and
countries. From China to Africa, from Mexico to Australia, and
from North America to the Middle East, art is found in many forms.
Textiles, masks, sculptures, tile work, and paintings will be the
inspiration for exciting and unusual works of art. Artists will use
drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and mixed media materials in
unique ways to represent the world of art.

AGES 8 to 12 SCULPTURES AND STRUCTURES WORKSHOP
Artists will learn to think three dimensionally, as they create sculptures in the round, using clay and papier mache. They will also build futuristic architectural structures using cardboard, boxes, and tubes. Get ready to add some depth to your art!
